was leaving
Sorry, I couldn’t say goodbye, because
I had to leave right away, and
Little Patrick says to say hi, and
Please don’t cry.
Only you know the grief
you, and family share
When you meet, and I am not there.
Life goes on we know
it’s true
I will never stop loving, or missing you.
John, you were such a
good soldier, that salute
was so brave,
Thank you, for the flag
you laid on my grave
Caroline, Daddy was so proud of you that day,
When you stood like a lady, and watched
me go by, and being
like Mommy you tried
not to cry.
Jackie, I will treasure
our love throughout
eternity, so carry on as you have
before
Till we meet on Heaven’s bright shore.

remember I care, I’ll always be there
though you don’t see me
there.
