She was only ten years old. I don’t understand

Who could do this, and what kind of man

It takes to commit such a heinous crime.

Even life in prison is not enough time.

As I sit and think, I pray to the Lord

Please don’t ever let them see the parole board.

Because, you see, this man, he was not alone.

There was a psychotic deranged woman in his home.

Together they did such an awful thing.

My heart can’t forgive them; they’re not human beings.

How could they harm their own innocent little girl?

If I had a daughter of my own, She’d be my whole world.

I didn’t know them personally, but if someone saw the signs,

Why didn’t social services save her in time?

This entire town is mad because this is horrible,

it’s outrageous.

They’re not a mom or dad, they’re animals,

and they need to be in cages.

It’s sad an innocent little girl didn’t live to see eleven.

It makes me feel better knowing

she’ll spend eternity up in heaven.

Magdalene: Mary recognizes Jesus outside the tomb by William Hole

Tonight before we sleep, we need to thank God

for the souls He gave us.

Ask Him to bless our minds, bodies, and spirits

and especially McKayla’s.
