All of life’s problems are troublesome And may seem quite a bit confusing. Stress and depression can bring us down They’re definitely not amusing. Our mind sometimes works against us With things like fear, lust, and addiction. They take our souls from a borrowed vessel In which had no conviction. We had no concern for others, Our intentions were always selfish. We’re emotionally a mess, so nevertheless, We’re anxious, depressed, and jealous. We all had choices to make And we made some bad decisions. We were headed down the path of death, And then God gave us a vision. We can change our thinking, which is why We’re in this obstacle. To go back to that painful life, To me would not be logical. Our priorities were twisted, Most of us were insane. We were thrown amongst a downward spiral, Until this chance came. With determination we can climb to the top And we can have better perspectives. Our life is more than a game that’s played, We need to be selective. Between relapse and recovery, We stand diplomatic. Our higher power is on our side, But we must remember we are addicts. Phone:
